How to Get an Instant Price for Your 3D Design
Think of it like booking a cab. You upload your digital blueprint (STL), pick the material (plastic or metal), and see the price immediately. No phone calls needed.
The Rapid RFQ Engine
*Our engine uses your browser's power (WASM) to slice files locally. No design data is uploaded until you decide to order.
Step 1: The Design File
First, you need a 3D design file. The most common format is STL, STEP, or 3MF. When you drag this into our tool, your computer processes the file using a built-in slicer. This means we calculate the volume and surface area locally—your file stays on your machine until you are ready to confirm production.

Step 2: Choose Your Profile
Manufacturing partners provide Rate Cards. These are pre-configured combinations of a specific machine and material.
- Draft (PLA): Perfect for visual prototypes and low-stress parts.
- Engineering (Nylon/PC): For functional components requiring high heat or impact resistance.
- Specialized (Metal/Resin): High-fidelity finishes or professional-grade alloys.
Step 3: Quality Standards
Define the "Skeleton" and surface requirements of your part.
- Infill: The internal structure. 20% for look-and-feel, 50%+ for functional tools.
- Layer Height: Lower numbers (e.g. 0.1mm) mean higher resolution and smoother surfaces.
- Post-Processing: Request painting, bead-blasting, or chemical smoothing for consumer-ready parts.

Step 4: Confirm & Launch
Once you pick your options, our engine provides a binding price in ₹ (Rupees). When you click Confirm Order, your file is securely encrypted and transmitted to the partner's command centre. Production begins as soon as the payment is confirmed.
The Maker's Dictionary
- STL
- The standard file format for 3D printing. It describes the surface of your object as tiny triangles.
- Slicing
- The process of cutting your digital model into thousands of thin horizontal layers that the printer creates one by one.
- Tolerance
- How precise the dimensions are. "Tight tolerance" means the part will fit perfectly with other parts.
- RFQ
- Request For Quotation. Fancy talk for "How much will this cost?"
